Quality siding can be a defining feature to residential and commercial exteriors, and can ensure a positive first impression. Nothing will impact the appearance of your home or business more dramatically than the exterior siding you choose. At Ryan Construction, we conduct our on-site evaluation to help you choose the right siding product for your unique budget and style. With expert installation by our craftsmen, the siding package you choose will transform your vision into a “curbside appeal” that reflects your personal taste.

White and Red Cedar
Naturally rot resistant, cedar shingles or “shakes” are a classic American home siding material that blends beautifully with the wooded landscapes and coastal areas of Southeastern, Massachusetts and Cape Cod. Shakes offer the natural look of real wood but usually require less maintenance than wood clapboard. Made of natural cedar, they can be stained brown, grey, or other earthen colors of your choice.

Modern science has given us many synthetic wood-look products, yet nothing can match the warmth of solid wood. Cedar, pine, spruce, redwood, cypress, or Douglas firs remain favorite choices for finer homes. With periodic care, wood siding can outlast vinyl and other simulated products. As with cedar shingle siding, wood clapboards can be stained rather than painted. Many of New England’s wood-sided houses built centuries ago, still look beautiful today.

Fiber cement Boar
Fiber cement is a durable, natural looking material that has the appearance of wood. If you want the look of authentic wood with a bit less maintenance, fiber cement is a good option. Fiber Cement is fireproof, termite-proof, and may have a warranty up to fifty years.

Vinyl is made from PVC plastic. Unlike wood or cedar, it won’t rot or flake. There are some excellent products on the market that we can offer customers, and vinyl represents a less expensive and relatively maintenance free option for homeowners.
